One family in Nyabite, Nyamira County is looking for their son who was supposed to begin his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education on Tuesday at Tonga primary school but has since disappeared from Sunday.
Edward Mochibi is said to have woken up on Sunday morning and went to a nearby stream to fetch water, but did not come back and up to now no one knows of his where about.
His elder brother, Edwin Mochibi, has called on anyone that might have information about his brother to report to the nearest police station.
Mochibi added that they have talked to the school's head teacher, who also confirmed that they have tried to look for him but the boy is still nowhere to be found.
He noted that they have reported the matter to the police and the ministry of education as well, and that they are now waiting hoping he will show up.
The elder brother said Edwin was a clever boy and had scored 400 marks in his mock examinations, and the whole family had high hopes of him doing well.
