A businessman has moved to court claiming that the slogan being used by Jubilee Party is a trademark in his business.

Jonathan Kinyanzwi Katiku, who appeared before justice Fred Ochieng, wants the court to issue temporary orders barring Jubilee Party and its members from using the slogan until the matter is heard and determined.

Katiku was directed to serve the respondents with a court notice through a newspaper notice in any local daily on 9th September, 2016.

Earlier this week Muungano Party Chair Titus Muunda threatened to sue Jubilee over the same allegations.

Muunda claimed that the similarity was confusing party members since the Muungano Party is under CORD and not Jubilee.
