Thika residents have been urged to come together with the aim of building an economically stable society through investment and saving plans.
Speaking on Sunday at Orange Restaurant at Engen in Thika during 'Mburi cia Ngogoyo' , a social gathering event that brings together lovers of old Kikuyu music, Ngogoyo Sacco chairman Fredrick Giturwa noted that an economically stable society is able to grow to greater heights.
Giturwa said prudent management of resources would help residents realise their financial goals.
"When people come together with one objective, they are able to achieve their goals easily and faster more than if they were doing it alone. Thika residents have the ability to transform their lives and that of their children through group investments and common saving plan," Giturwa said.
He also asked residents to be concerned on uplifting the welfare of others saying those currently doing well in the area were not doing enough to help the less fortunate.
"We cannot have an economically stable society when we have more beggars than those with something. We have to work a plan on how to grow together all of us," he said.
