A car wash business was on Friday closed down and two suspects arrested in Ndumberi, Kiambu Sub-County following the theft of car spare parts in the premises.
Kiambu OCPD Stephen Ng'etich told this writer said that four cases had been reported of theft of car spare parts after being left for washing and also for parking at night.
He confirmed that side mirrors, car tyres and headlights of three vehicles were found missing on Friday morning after the three vehicles were left for overnight parking.
The OCPD added that this was the fourth incident in the same car wash business.
"We have two people in custody for questioning and helping in investigations," said Ng'etich.
He explained that the car wash business was closed down due to increased cases of theft of property belonging to customers.
Ng'etich also said that the youth idling around the car wash and other business outlets are major suspects of theft and warned them against the behaviour.
