Speaking at Ndumberi grounds, Kiambu Sub-County after his visit to Rome, Cardinal Njue said that his visit will influence Kenya positively as he will be the first ever Pope to visit the country. He said that this was a great opportunity for Kenya.

He added that the Pope will also address issues that are affecting our nation such as corruption and tribalism.

"Kenyans should generally be prepared for the visit of the Pope as this will not only be a religious visit but also a state visit," said Njue.

He also said that just as Obama was anticipated for, this is also a great visit that Kenyans should prepare adequately for. He called on the government to also be prepared for the visit as well. He further urged Kenyans to practise unity and love in their day to day lives.
