Uasin Gishu County government is determined to improve health services delivery to its residents.

Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno on Tuesday said the county has implemented programs meant to improve health infrastructure at a tune of Sh108 million.

"We have built 25 new health facilities, nine new laboratories and maternity centers which are operational," he said.

He said to tackle emergency cases, the county government has acquired 10 new ambulances.

He added that they have automated management of drugs and patients' data through Hospital Management Information System.

"This system has made it easy to track patients' data and reduce wastage of drugs," he said.

He also said that the county government will ensure hospitals are fully equipped with drugs and equipment to enhance service delivery.
