A Member of Parliament in Kuresoi has pledged to complete all projects he has initiated before the end of his term in 2017.

Speaking at Kapbongoi Tinet Girls Secondary school on Friday while on a project developmental tour in his backyard, Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot noted that his conscience tells him that he still had a long way to go as far as finalising on all projects he promised to work on during his campaigns way back in 2012.

He challenged those politicking to stand up and be counted on the basis of development arguing that some politicians were too much into 2017 campaigns at the expense of development.

“You waste a lot of time talking about me and the false cases surrounding me as if you are a saint. Practically, I might be performing better than yourself; so before you utter anything disregarding me, ensure that your constituents are better off than mine,” he stated.

Cheruiyot who was speaking for the first time since he was acquitted of graft charges noted that he always believed in his capabilities and the Anglo Leasing scam was geared towards tainting his name.

He said some people wanted to use him as a sacrificial lamb for the wrongs they had committed in the country further saying that with the way things are going, corrupt leaders will never have a place in the future.

“It’s interesting to see some bigwigs engage in questionable deals then use their juniors to plead their innocence. Let them be warned that the fight against corruption has now taken the right path in the country; their scandalous lives will soon be unearthed," he said.

Through his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) kitty, the legislature has built several classes at Kapbongoi Tinet Girls Secondary School.
