It is said that only a fool does the same thing and expects the same results.

The saying is applicable for a church that decided to adopt a new form of evangelism – crusade on wheels.

Members of the Winners Church in Kikuyu were spotted riding on top of a lorry, the kind used in political rallies, spreading the gospel.

The lorry went through Limuru bus stage where it stood for some hours, and also spoke the gospel along the route of Kikuyu-Limuru. The locals were treated to gospel songs, prayers, preaching and a call to confess Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

The coordinator of the ‘crusade on wheels’ evangelism told the locals, “Today we have decided to come where you are and tell you the Good News,” said a masculine voice over the loud speaker.

The church must go to seek the lost. Most people these days spend hours at their businesses and hardly spare an hour or two to go to church.

Mercy Wambui said taking the gospel to where the people were was a wise move.

“The church must spread her wings far and wide, and also use her resources wisely to see that many hear about Jesus and his saving grace,” said Wambui.

The crusade was only hampered by a heap of garbage that was at the bus stage, and emitted a rotten stench to the discomfort of those present.

Other new things seen in the church include receiving tithe and offering through M-Pesa.
