A Nakuru businessman, who is also a PCEA church elder, has moved to court accuse leaders of the church of maligning his character through malice.
Joshua Kamira Wanjau has sued Reverend Llyod Kabaiya together with the church claiming that he was defamed.
According to Wanjau, a house belonging to the church in which he chaired the caretaker committee is at the centre of contention.
He said Reverend Kabaiya wanted him to hand over the house’s key in which he refused as the said Reverend did not follow the due process.
It is after he refused to hand over the key that he was sacked through a letter allegedly read before worshippers in several PCEA churches. The move, he told the court, was mean to demean him and portray him in bad light in front of other church members. As a result, he lost friends and his businesses suffered a blow.
The case was set for March 22.
