Residents from Mavoko sub county have been told to humble themselves as they wait to usher in the year 2016.
The call was made by Athi River town based Champion of Christ Temple Church's clergyman Bishop Nicholas Muli who said it is not easy to get to the new year.
"I advise all the residents from Mavoko to remain calm and humble themselves as they wait to see the year 2016, they should not be over exited because the year 2015 is not yet over," said Muli.
Muli who addressed the press at the church Monday said people should keep off from engaging in illicit activities with the intent of fulfilling their body desires.
He said there were a lots of unethical activities in which several residents of the sub county were engaging in during the festive season that cannot impress God.
Muli said such unholy activities included fornication and drug and substance abuse especially consumption of alcohol even by the underage children.
He said all these corrupt the residents' morals thereby compromise the entire society arguing a community full of drunkards and prostitutes is a doomed one.
The clergyman said the residents should not over enjoy by engaging in activities that might cut their lives shot before ushering in the year 2016.
He argued that each action has a price and choices have consequences hence the need for the residents to all make responsible and sound decisions before engaging in any actions that might lead them to danger.
