Speaking to us today Marani residents said the road is flat which tempts most motorists to speed, risking their own life's and that of the pedestrians.

“Recently we have had cases of accidents due to over-speeding," said Jacob Kolonga.

"We now call upon the county government to take swift action to address the issue,” added Kolonga.

The residents claim temporary speed bumps they had constructed had been washed away by the rains.

“Our safety is compromised with the many speeding cars along this busy road," said Agnes Wamboi.

"Lately, we have had huge transit trucks along this road. We are worried about the safety of our children,” added Wamboi.

They now want the county government to come in and construct a speed bumps.

“Even if we have two of them it will help reduce the speeding motorists which will reduce the cases of accidents,” adds Kolonga.
