Residents of Egetai are calling upon the county government to build them a speed bump along Kisii-Keroka road.
This is after a matatu lost control and plunged into a ditch in Egetai leading to the injuring of three people.
According to an eyewitness, the vehicle was being driven at very high speed leading to losing of control.
They say the road slants down the hill towards Keroka which tempts many motorists to speed.
“We call upon the county government to establish a speed bump in the road," said Okoth.
"We have a number of accidents due to increased number of vehicles being driven very fast along this road the latest incident being last week,” added Okoth.
“I have to take my children across to the other side to ensure their safety," said Njeri.
"Recently we have had heavy commercial vehicles speeding fast along this road," she said.
"We hope the government hastes in building a speed bump to minimise cases of accidents,” added Njeri.
