Uasin Gishu County residents have been urged to store enough water for them not to be affected by the on going water rationing.
Eldoret Water and Sewerage Company Chairman Cornelius Chepsoi said the rationing is due to water shortage which is being experienced in Eldoret town.
"Our company only produces 36,000 cubic metres of water so at least everyone can get water at a particular time," he said.
He urged Uasin Gishu residents to use the available water well, and avoid wastage since Eldoret and Uasin Gishu County as a whole is running short of piped water," he said.
"I urge Eldoret residents to look for alternative water sources such as boreholes and rain water instead of only depending on piped water which is scarce," he said.
