Newly employed health officers in Nyamira County have been challenged to provide bi-partisan service to residents with devotion and commitment.
Speaking on Friday at Kebirigo Boys during the induction of the officers, Governor John Nyagarama said health services will improve following the employment of 226 health workers.
“The county has employed 226 clinical officers, nurses and public health workers who will be deployed across the county to provide health services to our residents. We have had a huge deficit of 700 health staff but the ones we have employed will help our people,” said Nyagarama.
He added: “More than 3,000 applicants applied for the jobs advertised but the county only managed to employ that number for now. More will be employed to bridge the gap but for now, that number is not very bad.”
The Director for Health Jack Magara was also present.
