The county government of Nakuru will invest in milk and potato processing factories in Kuresio, governor Kinuthia Mbugua has said.

Mbugua was speaking at the AGC Pombo Church in Keringet Ward, Kuresoi South during a fundraiser on Sunday where he also outlined the vision of the county government in the area.

He said his government aims at improving livelihoods through rehabilitation of feeder roads in Kuresoi South among other sub counties that are highly productive in agriculture.   

"This was one of our campaign promises. I have not reneged on my word and we are working to achieve this. In our recent visit to China, we engaged and struck partnerships with Chinese investors pledged to assist us revolutionise our potato farming primarily on value addition," he said.

His sentiments were echoed by Nominated Senator Liz Chelule who also added that Nakuru County leadership was firm.

Governor Mbugua was also accompanied the County Secretary Joseph Motari, Keringet MCA Leah Serem, Majority Leader Nakuru County Assembly Njenga Mwaura, among other county officials.
