Nakuru residents who are graduates in information and technology have up to Monday, March 14, to apply for Presidential Digital Talent internship programme.
According to the presidential digital talent website, the yearlong programme has vacancies for 400 participants with no limited numbers based on region. This creates an opportunity for residents of Nakuru County to apply in large numbers.
The programme is designed such that participants will first be taken through induction of the programme for a week then will be allocated different government ministries where they will be absorbed in the respective ministries department of ICT for three months.
The interns then be absorbed in different private sector institutions where again they will be assigned to work in the ICT department for three months.
The final stage involves learning on shared infrastructure and systems in the public sector, planning, monitoring, evaluation and control as well as training on service delivery and certification on network, applications ,security and project management.
Participants will have high chances of getting a job after training with opportunities to work within the government and the private sector too.
