Speaking on Thursday a few hours after he was served with the suspension notice, Luka said that he would serve his public office as the deputy governor had no constitutional rights to sack him.

"I will continue with my job because Kiala has no office mandate to fire me from my office or any officer at my level," said Luka.

This follows a press conference called by the deputy governor on Thursday at 2p.m.

"From today onwards people of Machakos County should not work together with Kioko Luka or Joshua Musili as both have been suspended from any activities of this county government," said Kiala.
