Nakuru County Deputy Governor Joseph Rutto has called on police to prioritize offering quality security services saying that the recent security lapses in different parts of Nakuru is a matter of concern.
He threatened to write to the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet to have a total overhaul of the county's security system.
Speaking at Gatamaiyu, Naivasha on Monday during the funeral of former teacher John Ng'ang'a who succumbed after being involved in a fatal road accident at Salgaa hotspot a week ago, Rutto expressed concern over the state of security.
"Let our officers tame crime or we demand fresh blood who assure us of our safety, Nakuru is always a safe county and the recent killings and attacks will negatively impact on the rich investment base we have. Something need to be done," he said.
The DG further cautioned youth against being used to perpetuate crime .
"Let us learn to live in peace and harmony because the future is more important than the present, crime and hating one another will never solve the problems we have," he added.
