Pupils who benefitted from the Equity Bank Wings to Fly scholarships have been advised not to forget about their backgrounds but instead work towards improving them.
Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria on Monday stated that it was very unfortunate that some of the children forget about their struggling parents once they benefit from the initiative or land good jobs.
Gikaria at the same time advised the 75 students to work hard in their students noting that if they deviated from such then the whole scholarship would be meaningless.
He, however, thanked the Equity Bank for coming up with such a noble initiative saying that it helped several needy students attain quality education.
The event was also graced by Governor Kinuthia Mbugua his deputy Joseph Rutto among other county officials.
