A section of Jubilee MPs have accused the opposition leaders of using Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter to cause confusion in the Jubilee government.
The leaders claim that the impeachment signatures being collected by Keter to impeach Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru over corruption allegations is a plot by the opposition.
In a statement sent to journalists after a press briefing at parliament buildings in Nairobi on Thursday, the leaders led by National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale claimed that Keter is being used to frustrate and derail the government.
Duale said that they have evidence that Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord) which is the opposition is behind the collection of signatures to impeach Waiguru.
He asked Cord to keep off government affairs accusing it of failing on their work as the opposition saying that the Jubilee government will not be shaken by the tricks allegedly being used by the opposition to discredit and weaken the government.
On Wednesday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria alleged a plot by the opposition to cause division in the government. He said that opposition leaders had opted to use some Jubilee members to discredit and make government look bad.
Kuria threatened to expose Jubilee members allegedly working with the opposition. He said that he will make public a list of Jubilee members he claimed are supporting Waiguru’s ouster.
Waiguru is being probed by Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC) over the alleged loss of Sh791 million at her ministry.
A section of leaders have called for the sacking of the CS over alleged massive graft at her ministry.
