Nakuru County government is committed towards nurturing an educated and well informed society, a senior county official has said.
Speaking at Mai Mahiu Secondary School on Wednesday when he accompanied governor Kinuthia Mbugua and his deputy Joseph Ruto in donating mattresses and other bedding to the students, Education CeC Francis Mathea noted that reforms were on course in ensuring that the sector makes a positive impact in the society.
He exuded confidence in the Mbugua led administration saying that under him positive strides had been made, but more was in store.
"The recently released KCPE results are a testimony of how education has improved in the county, if you need any support from our side, you know where to find us, our office doors are always open, come lets talk and brainstorm for a better Nakuru," he said.
Under the Mbugua administration, schools, colleges and polytechnics have been renovated, more than 500 ECDE classes have been built, books and other reading materials have been donated to school among other things aimed at supporting education.
A dormitory at the school was torched by unknown people last year November just before schools closed.
