Nakuru county residents have been urged to elect more women MPs in the 2017 general elections.

Nakuru county TNA chairman Samuel Githaiga said that women have proven to be good and trustworthy leaders and electing more of them will spur development in the county.

He said that women are less corrupt and more development oriented and conscious compared to their male counterparts.

The TNA boss said that the male MPs spend more time politicking and urged women to take up on them in next year's polls.

“I think we should have more women from Nakuru County in parliament and I urge voters in Nakuru County to consider electing more women as their MPs’,” he said.

He added: “There is no doubt we will have more development with women leaders in positions as opposed to men leaders."
