Kiambu Women Representative Ann Nyokabi has asked the Kiambu government to work with women and engage them in development projects.

Speaking to women groups at Kiambu Chief’s camp on Wednesday, Nyokabi noted that women in the county are not fully engaged in development.

Nyokabi said that women have to be involved fully in development for economic prosperity. She said that women have the right to be included in every development project being initiated the county and the national level.

Nyokabi said that the county will realise full development if women are fully engaged and empowered.

“I am appealing to the Kiambu county government to engage more women in every development project so that we can achieve development,” she said.

The Kiambu women rep said that the constitution agitates for equal inclusion of men and women in development and leadership. Nyokabi said that she will continue to agitate for equal representation of women in development.

She urged women to be more aggressive and seek involvement in development and leadership projects.
