However, when people plan to travel, it is common for them to overlook carrying important things that when their time of need comes, they are either left uncomfortable or stranded.

The following are the items;

Flashlight

It may sound weird travelling with one in your designer bag or porch because who knows when darkness will catch-up with you. Though our mobile phones have flashlights, they are not reliable as their batteries drain very fast. Having a touch comes in handy when night falls.

Spare phone battery

To prevent occasions where you borrow a phone for you to make a call since yours has run out, then it is very advisable to have a spare battery with you. A charger may be handy but it will also be considered useless when your destination has no electricity.

Clean water

“I will buy water,” this is the comfort that people always give themselves, however, imagine a situation where thirst strikes you in the middle of the night and due to security reasons the driver refuses stop.

Toilet paper roll

The males always overlook carrying a toilet paper or even a handkerchief claiming it is a female thing. Such people will be heard asking for toilet paper while others maybe compelled to use tree leaves as toilet paper.

First aid kit/ Medication

Accidents or illnesses during safaris are inevitable and unpredictable too, but when they come they should find you prepared. Prepare yourself with bandages for wounds and painkillers in-case of pains.

Extra cash

Travelling with a fixed amount of money may not be a good idea. Extra money should be carried as there may be fare hikes. Such money can easily be carried in ATMs or M-Pesa.
