Farmers have been challenged to practice agribusiness to get more returns from agriculture.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the Noreb investors conference on Friday Water Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa challenged farmers to practice agribusiness.
"Farmers should embrace new farming technologies such as planting crops in green houses for sale," he said.
He said there were many farmers who are millionaires just because of practicing agriculture as a business and are now reaping the fruits.
"I urge Noreb member counties to invest heavily in agriculture and encourage farmers to practice agriculture as a business and soon they will become the next millionaires," he said.
He said through investing in agriculture which is the backbone of our economy and encouraging youth to embrace agriculture, joblessness among the youth will be a thing of the past.
