Matungulu OCS, Njiiri has urged members of the public to continue showing unity in fighting illicit brew which has resurfaced the sub-county.

Speaking on Feb 2, 2016 in his office in Tala town, he noted that the main source of illicit brew is based in Yatta sub-county which is neighbouring sub-county and therefore, it's transported to Matungulu.

"I have realised that after a long fight to end this illegal drug, there are few individuals who are importing from neighbouring sub-counties.

I will not be tired of fighting it as it is my duty to ensure everything in my sub-county runs in the right way.

With the help of the public and police officers I am determined to end illicit brew,"said Njiiri.

Police officers have already started looking for the main suspect identified as Monicah Musomba and based in Yatta sub -county.

Njiiri said that the woman will soon be arrested and the right law will be taken on her.

He also added that the suspect will help police catch up with more individuals associated with the same as investigations are ongoing.
