The Kenya Film and Classification Board on Tuesday banned a music video supporting homosexual relationships.

The music video released recently had come under heavy attack on the social media, especially on twitter, with members calling for its ban due to some of the scenes which have artistes getting cozy with the same sex partners and even act out sexual encounters.

The video titled Same Love (Remix), was done by Joji Baro and Noti Flow and uploaded on YouTube on February 15, attracting over 35,000 views by the time the board banned it.

The music video has been doing circulations on Whats App groups in Nakuru.

In a press statement by the films board, said it did not issue a license approving the production of scenes in the video produced in Kenya.

“The video, whose main theme is homosexuality has been RESTRICTED,” read the statement in part.

The board further warned that anyone found distributing the video on any platform shall be held accountable in line with the law.
