Speaking on in Nakuru town on Monday, Gikaria said the move is long overdue as the international court has failed in its mandate.

Gikaria claimed the court is a western tool meant to undermine African leaders.

The TNA MP said that the ongoing cases at the ICC should not continue as it has been seen there were no proper investigations.

There have been efforts to have Kenya withdraw from the Rome statute after six Kenyans were indicted.

The six Kenyans were accused of being perpetrators of the 2007/08 post-election violence.

Two cases were not confirmed as two others were withdrawn. Only William Ruto and Joshua Sang are facing charges at the court.
