Kiambu County Deputy Governor Gerald Githinji has urged foreign investors to partner and support government projects being rolled out in Kiambu.
Speaking to journalists after hosting a delegation from Germany led by the German Ambassador to Kenya Jutta Frasch on Wednesday, the Kiambu deputy governor said that through investments, the county will be able to realise its development agenda.
The deputy governor said that the county is open to partner with investors to boost service delivery.
“We are working on frame works that will enable us partner with foreign investors as we seek to improve service delivery for our people,” he said.
Githinji stated that the county is already working with several foreign investors in the departments of infrastructure and health, and encouraged investors to set up businesses in the county assuring them of the county’s support.
On her part, the German ambassador said that her country will continue to support development programmes in the country.
She said that already there is partnership with the country on matters of security, health and food security.
The German ambassador lauded the country’s devolved system of governance saying it will boost ensure people at the grass roots get services.
“The German government will continue to support programmes aimed at boosting development in Kenya,” she said.
The ambassador called on Kenyans to remain peaceful saying that with existence of peace development will be realised.
