Young people without identification cards from Kisii County have been challenged to take advantage of the campaign dubbed My ID My Life in acquiring IDs and voters cards if they want to change leadership which will transform the county.
Kisii county youth President Mr Denis Orioki said that according to the research they have done since they launched the program last month, many young people have no Identification cards.
“Most of our young people who have acquired the minimum age of acquiring identification cards but have not gone for it, hence we are calling upon them to take advantage of My ID My Life campaign in acquiring them,” said Orioki.
“As things stands I urge you my fellow youths, it will be the ballot as our ultimate savior to the injustices done by the leadership we surrendered our mandate to,” added Orioki.
Have called upon those people who want change and have no IDs to go and acquire them so that they can change leadership.
“We can be saying the the kind of leaders we have are not doing enough, if we want a change let us go for IDs and register not only for the ID but even voters card as well,” said Orioki.
Orioki said that since the program was launched in Kisii they have been able to register over 3,000 people as they are targeting 25,000 people across the county.
