The national government has set up measures to establish a branch of the Central Bank in Kisii to enhance development, Deputy President William Ruto.
Addressing residents at Gusii stadium, Deputy President William Ruto said that the government has measures in place of establishing the Central Bank in Kisii.
“As the government we have measures in place of establishing Central Bank of Kenya in Kisii County and we have finalised it. Now is the role of Central Bank to also finalise it,” said Ruto.
Kisii County residents have been urging the government to establish the bank to Kisii since 65 per cent of their resources go to Kisumu Central, hoping that if they will have it at Kisii they will save more.
“We have approved the presence of the Central Bank and we hope that the bank will benefit us once it will be established in this place,” said Ruto.
The deputy president also challenged the community to always preach peace to promote peaceful coexistence.
