The governor expressed pleasure over the performance of the candidates, disabusing their minds from obstacles, which according to him, once shifted focus of the candidates from goals that are supposed to benefit them.

He thanked the teaching fraternity for its role in moulding the minds of young citizens and making them productive citizens in the county and beyond.

Nyagarama announced his government's commitment to work closely with the national government to improve the standards of learning in school.

"I wish to congratulate last year's KCSE candidates for their exemplary performance, more so I wish to salute those who hail from Nyamira County for making us proud," he said.

"The county government will continue to work closely with the national government to improve the standards of learning in our schools," he confirmed.

The county chief disclosed plans by his government to hold a county education conference where all stakeholders will meet to come up with ways of making learning in schools smooth.

He appealed to the candidates of the 2015 KCSE class to maintain discipline in their future endeavours.
