Nakuru is soon to be made one of the best tourist destinations in the region if a meeting between Governor Kinuthia Mbugua and foreign investors from China achieves its objectives.

Speaking after hosting delegation of eight people from the Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Group Company (AFECC) in his office on Tuesday, Governor Mbugua was optimistic of a mutual working relationship saying that they had expressed their commitment in doing business with the county.

“They have shown a keen interest in tourism investment within our county and we are ready to give them all the support they need,” he said.

The governor cited the numerous tourism attractions within the county as proof enough that such a partnership will go a mile storm in reviving its economy.

“Being a large scale multi-operational enterprise with undoubted success stories across different continents of the world, it will be our pride to work with them,” Mbugua stated.

He further said that the remaining part of the week was to be used in traversing the county for the purposes of identifying a suitable site suitable for construction of a multi-million tourist attraction site.

AFECC engages in international project contracting, oversees mineral resources development, real estate development, jewellery processing, operational supermarkets, 5-star hotel chains, Spa resorts and building material processing.
