Kisii Governor James Ongwae has promised Nyacheki ward residents in Bobasi Constituency that he will ensure projects initiated by the late MCA Peter Ongeri are completed .
Ongwae who was addressing residents on Thursday after touring various development projects at the area he said will fill in the gap left by Ongeri until a new MCA is elected.
“When we were at the later MCA Peter Ongeri’s funeral I told you that I will work with you as your Governor and as your MCA until we elect another person, Today I have come here to see development projects and to plan on how we can initiate more projects," Ongwae said.
Among the projects Ongwae visited are Enchoro youth Polytechnic , Sugubo Dispensary and Kera bridge which is under construction among others.
The County boss affirmed he will support whoever wins the nomination exercise for the MCA.
“Nominations are going to be free and fair, whoever will win will get our support so don’t worry how this by-election will be,” said Ongwae.
Nyacheki ward seat was left Vacancy after Peter Nyaega who was the area MCA died and the by election is scheduled on 26 October 2017 .
