Nakuru County youth adviser to the governor Kimani wa Kimani has called on the immediate resignation of two senior Nakuru county government officials following investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

Kimani said the two should quit and further investigations be done after their houses were raided by EACC officers.

The two are suspected to be beneficiaries of corrupt dealings within the county.

Speaking to the press on Monday, Kimani Lamented that the two officials are still in office despite allegations leveled against them.

“It is illegal for them to even hold the offic,” Kimani said.

The governor’s aide said the duo’s stay in office is a disregard to the crime they are suspected of.

“They should have been on the forefront and step aside until they are cleared. They should pave way for investigations,” he added.

Kimani said that: “They are interfering with efforts to fight graft and tainting the image of the governor Kinuthia Mbugua.”
