A 65-year-old woman was on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court and charged with being drunk and disorderly.
Esther Njeri, 65, is accused of imbibing alcohol and later creating commotions by shouting loudly and acting in a violent way.
Senior principal magistrate Liz Gicheha heard that the accused who was arrested by police officers in on December 15 in Bondeni estate Nakuru had taken one too many and was threatening to stone passers by while shouting at them.
However, the woman denied the allegations and told the court that she was only possessed by good spirits.
She was however released on a cash bond of Sh2,000 or a cash bail of Sh1,000 pending the hearing of the case on January 22, 2016.
In the same court a man was charged with selling the banned second generation liquor.
Fred Imbaya is accused of committing the said crime on December 14 in Shabab estate Nakuru. The court heard that the accused was found selling the 'sting' alcohol in his pub in the said area.
He however pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bond of Sh5,000 pending hearing of the matter on February 2.
