Over 200 pupils of St Xavier's Primary School, Nakuru East constituency received Bibles during an occasion to celebrate the International Women's Day. 

"We join the world in celebrating the International Women's Day by encouraging children to get influenced positively", said James Owuor, a parent.

The group from the Bible Society of Kenya moves around schools in Nakuru to issues Bibles to children. 

Among the members is Simon Njaria, student from St Paul's University- Nakuru campus, a co-founder of Upgrade Poetry, the group behind Street Poetry Nakuru.

"I love children and I hope to be a positive influence to their lives," added Njaria.
