Moi High school Kabarak principal, Ms Elishibah Cheruiyot, has attributed their exemplary success to hard work.
In an interview published on Saturday Nation, March 5, the school head said: “When you take over an institution that is doing well and has been at the top you always hope that you will do better and so this year’s performance will remain the happiest moment in my life,” Cheruiyot said.
Kabarak had the highest number of As, at 202, Alliance High had 200, while Maseno had 140.
Also, Utumishi Academy of Gilgil, Nakuru county recorded 91 As.
Moreover, Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) Chief Executive officer Joseph Kivilu said candidates were awarded the A grades because they deserved them.
“If they all score the A grade, we award them. They have worked hard for those grades and, therefore, there is no reason to deny them,” said Dr Kivilu.
Moi High School-Kabarak was founded in 1979 by Retired President, Daniel Arap Moi on his expansive Kabarak farm.
