However, the recent trend in the colleges has seen most students misuse money on activities that are not necessarily important to their well-being.

Some of the activities include:

1. Purchasing expensive gadgets.

With the advancement of technology, most students want to cope up with the latest gadgets on the market.

They include high priced smartphones and computers, among others.

2. Eating and drinking expensively.

When campus students get money, their diet changes.

They begin eating expensive foods in luxurious hotels.

They will also be found in the most popular clubs drinking and partying.

3. Cohabiting Peer pressure and sexual drives result into cohabiting of students.

Dudes convince their girlfriends that the money they have can sustain them if they live together.

4. Travel tours and hikes during weekends, dudes want to take their girlfriends on outings.

They make tours to far places.

With the little money they have, they spend it even to the last coin.

With all the above circumstances among others, it clearly shows some of the ways college students waste money on non-issues and their poor financial planning.

Some graduates at the end wish they had saved or utilised their finances wisely while at the campus, especially when they start repaying the loans.
