New Egerton Vice-Chancellor Prof Rose Mwonya has eluded confidence in transforming the institution to greater heights saying that she has all it takes for the job.

Speaking at the Institution's main campus in Njoro during her inauguration ceremony, Prof Mwonya called for both internal and external support so as to have a successful stint.

"I know the task ahead of me is tough and challenging but with God's guidance and your support, I believe nothing is impossible," she said. She becomes the fifth Vice-Chancellor of Egerton University.

The event which was held at the institution's graduation square on Friday was attended by senior government officials both from the county and national level led by Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i.
