Kisii County gubernatorial hopeful Manson Nyamweya has declared his interest to go for the country's top seat in 2022 saying he has what it takes to be the president.
Speaking on Friday, Mr Nyamweya said that the presidency seat is not a reserve of any community and that he will not look back in his bid to go for the seat.
Nyamweya is going to face incumbent Governor James Ongwae in 2017 on Kenya National Congress party said that he only wants to be the Governor for one term.
"I am telling those who want to run for the parliamentary seat they are welcome," Nyamweya who is also the MP for South Mugirango told mourners at Maroo in his constituency.
According to Nyamweya, he is not going to endorse anyone for the seat but instead challenged those who are interested in the seat to engage in aggressive campaigns to market themselves.
