Nakuru politician Koigi wa Wamwere has hit out at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), saying it has no moral authority to hold the next elections.
The long-time activist said that the commission has been dogged by scandals thus losing the merit to hold credible elections. Koigi, who is the leader of Chama Cha Mwananchi, was speaking on Saturday evening in his Nakuru-based FM station.
“It has been riddled by corruption; Kenyans might not believe it because no clean-up was done. It should be sent home,” Koigi said.
The politician has been a fierce critic of the Jubilee regime accusing it of lacking direction and a clear agenda for Kenya.
The former Subukia MP has penned several pieces in a column he writes for a Kenyan daily where he has been expressing his displeasure towards IEBC.
