The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has revealed of plans to boost the voter registration exercise to hit its' 8 million target.
The commission launched a new digital voter registration platform on Monday.
The platform will use a go to vote application. This application helps voters to know which polling station is nearer for them to access. It will also give voters an overview of the registration process.
The application will also help voters know what they require when they go vote. It will list down the documents needed before they cast their vote.
The ongoing mass voter registration started on February 15 and is set to end this month, on 15th.
Last week, Siaya County registered the largest number of voters, however, the exercise was termed not straight as some people complained of their names missing from the registered voters list.
In some centres, the voters clashed with their opponents leading to disruption of the registration.
