The Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission will Monday hold a media sensitisation workshop with journalists in Nakuru County.

According to an email seen by this writer, the workshop aims to sensitise the media on how to promote objectivity and accurate coverage ahead of the  the mass voter registration exercise slated to begin Monday until March 15.

The event which will be held at the Nuru Palace will also address the role the media should play as far as the voter registration exercise is concerned.

The commission Monday launched a massive voter registration in preparations for the general election slated for August next year.

The commission also got a shot in the arm in their preparations for the exercise yesterday after the European Union gave it Sh560 million to oversee the process.
