There is need to increase speed bumps along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway to reduce fatal accidents. This is the advise Nakuru town west legislator Samwel Arama had for the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) as the debate over the Salgaa blackspot rages on.
Speaking on Tuesday in Nakuru town, Arama pointed out areas such as the Ngata bridge and Sobea as those which needed urgent erection of speed bumps if an accident-free highway is to be realized.
At the same time the legislator also advised drivers plying the route to exercise caution in order to prevent needless hospitals.
The highway especially along the Salgaa stretch has lately generated a lot of debate in the public domain with leaders blasting NTSA over perennial accidents in the area.
