A group of Indian doctors will be offering free treatment this Saturday and Sunday at Consolata Mission Hospital in Limuru and at Limuru Primary School.
The group of doctors’ manager speaking to journalists during the ongoing preparation for the camp Anoop Kumar said that the camp has been ongoing in different counties and Kiambu was third to get the services.
He said that the camp targets cancer, kidney, heart, ear, nose and throat conditions and they all will benefit for free.
Kumar revealed that that the camp is conducted by a group of Indian Hospitals called Narayana Health and they aim at helping those who cannot afford such services.
He said that most people end up dying because of financial inabilities for treatment and he said they aim at reducing such cases and also educating people on good living conditions to avoid such diseases.
Kumar said they target over 1,000 patients this weekend stating that the camp will open on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday from noon to 4pm.
“We are calling on residents who have such conditions to come in large numbers and benefit from this free service that we are offering. Most of the hospitals are very expensive on these conditions but we have come with this to help those who can’t afford and actually they are the majority,” said Kumar.
He revealed that the camp has had successful treatment services in Meru and Kirinyaga counties and that they are hoping to visit all the counties this year.
