Member counties of the North Rift Economic Bloc have been urged to invest in security as a means wooing investors.
Speaking during the Noreb investors’ conference on Friday, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa said security is paramount since it makes it easy for investors to conduct their business smoothly.
"Noreb member counties should ensure that security is given first priority since no investors can risk putting his/her own business in an insecurity prone area," he said.
He said the county government should collaborate with the national government to ensure that security is enhanced.
"As the national government, we are ready to enhance security in the Noreb counties to make the investor friendly since the success of Noreb is the success of Kenya as a whole," he said.
He also urged wananchi to play a vital role by embracing the Nyumba Kumi initiative by reporting anyone with questionable characters to the police.
