Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga believes the Jubilee administration under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta has broken all ‘available’ corruption records.

Mr Odinga, who delivered a keynote speech on Thursday during the official opening of Kisii Entrepreneurship Summit, seized the opportunity to condemn the alleged rampant corruption in government.

He slammed Jubilee government for allegedly doing little in the fight against graft and challenged President Kenyatta to crack a whip on his key allies who have been mentioned in a number of scandals.

“Every Kenyan can now vindicate me because I have been a victim of wrong accusations for revealing scandals in Jubilee government. This government has broken virtually all corruption records making our peoples suffer. The leadership under President Kenyatta is hell bent in the fight against graft and this is the time that he (Kenyatta) takes responsibility and cracks a whip,” Odinga said.

The opposition chief called for the prosecution of NYS scandal suspects and claimed that the government might have lost more than Sh791 million.

“We have seen through the NYS scandals suspects on what really transpired. The money could even be more than what we initially thought. We want to see masterminds of the fund meant for the youths tried in court soonest and all investigative agencies should do their job,” he said.

The former prime minister once again challenged the government to explain the use of the controversial Eurobond money, claiming the money had been stolen to facilitate 2017 elections.

“I said that this is a scandalous government and I hope people are now seeing. They have failed to explain to us how Euro bond was used. This money was stolen and they are using it for campaigns. We want this government to return that money for development,” added Raila.
