Deputy president William Ruto has urged Kenyans to support the new Jubilee Party since it has a national look and looks to cater for every Kenyan.
Speaking in Eldoret on Sunday, Ruto said the party will bring Kenyans together no matter their political or tribal affiliations unlike other political parties
"The aim of forming the Jubilee Party is not to win the 2017 elections because we have already won but to unite all Kenyans who have been divided by selfish politicians," he said.
He said that him and President Uhuru Kenyatta will seek re-election using the Jubilee Party.
"We want Kenya to be united during and after the 2017 elections to prevent the recurrence of post election violence," he said.
He urged Kenyans to join the party since it has carried on board all Kenyans.
"I urge Kenyans to take identity cards and thereafter register as voters since it is the only weapon to guarantee good leadership," he said.
He also urged the opposition to merge their political parties as a means of uniting Kenyans.
