Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has urged Thika residents to support his government on its quest to deliver services.

Addressing Thika locals after opening The Thika District Business Association Trade Fair (TBDA) at Mama Ngina Grounds in Thika on Thursday, Kabogo said that he needs the support of locals to advance development across the county.

Kabogo stated that his government is keen to propel development adding that it will only succeed if it has the back of the people.

“I need your support and good-will to be able to push development agenda and provide sufficient and effective service delivery to you (locals),” said Kabogo.

He told locals that the government has initiated various development projects in Thika meant to provide services and fight poverty.

Kabogo cited road constructions and empowerment of youths as some of the key projects and programmes the county government has initiated in the area. He said that more development will be coming into the area adding that the county will complete all projects before the next general elections.

At the same time, Kabogo asked elected and nominated leaders in Thika to work with him as he strives to make Kiambu an economic and development hub.
